About Me

Hi, I’m Kira! A 30 something Canadian plant-based mama escaping the Winters and living full-time in Playa del Carmen, Mexico with my vegan partner and our vegan baby, Remy.

I started my plant-based journey back in 2017 while doing a sustainability project for University where I had to go vegetarian for two weeks. During that two weeks I learned a looot about the environmental impact of eating meat. I ended up watching a few vegan documentaries (Forks Over Knives and Game Changers are my favs!) that convinced me to try going vegetarian. By May 2018 I had eaten the last meat I ever would… right before doing the 5 day Salkantay trek on Machu Picchu actually!

Fast forward to 2021, I was seeing more content about the dairy and egg industries and what I THOUGHT was a harmless industry was far from it… I decided in October when I moved out from my house with my roommates that I would go vegan.

And like all vegans say (which I seriously thought they were just lying before)… my only regret is not doing it sooner!

I have more energy than ever before, my body is way more toned, my skin is clearer, AND I had an extremely healthy pregnancy and birth. Coincidence? No such thing.

It really is true that eating a plant-based diet and living a vegan lifestyle can make you feel better than you ever have.

Now I want to help more women like you choose to eat plant-based so that you too can feel as good as I do!

If you’ve been curious about eating more plant-based, going vegetarian or going vegan then you’re definitely in the right place!
